The Take Note Academy of Excellence is pleased to welcome a new cohort of 20 students in

partnership with MICT SETA and the City of Ekurhuleni. This initiative addresses the critical

challenge of high unemployment among graduates, particularly in the IT, cybersecurity, and

technology sectors, while simultaneously tackling the significant skills shortage prevalent in

these industries. Rapid technological advancements further exacerbate this gap, making it

difficult for individuals to remain competitive in the job market. The Take Note Academy of

Excellence, with its innovative cybersecurity program, stands as a testament to the company’s

unwavering commitment to shaping the future of cybersecurity, technology, and education in

South Africa.

As South Africa navigates the dual challenges of rising youth unemployment and an urgent

need for digital transformation, the Cyber Excellence Academy aims to equip young South

Africans with the essential skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Through cutting-edge,

industry-aligned training, the program nurtures the next generation of tech professionals who

will build, secure, and transform our digital future.

This current cohort of 20 students will undergo intensive cybersecurity training, preparing them

for a career in Cybersecurity by providing hands-on experience and networking opportunities.

Upon successful completion of the program, the students will be placed with the City of

Ekurhuleni, a strategic partner in this initiative. This placement marks a crucial step in bridging

the gap between education and employment, ensuring that our youth are not merely trained but

actively contributing to safeguarding South Africa’s digital landscape. Take Note Group of

Companies commits to placing all trained students into employment via its industry partners and

vendors.

“This is more than a training program; it’s a long-term investment in the future,” says Mamela Luthuli,

CEO of Take Note Group.

“We’re proud to partner with MICT SETA and the City of Ekurhuleni to create real pathways for young people

to enter the cybersecurity space, which is one of the most critical areas in today’s tech-driven world”.

The partnership with MICT SETA is ongoing, forming part of a broader shared vision to build a

digitally skilled, economically active, and globally competitive workforce. The Take Note

Academy of Excellence not only provides world-class cyber and Internet of Things security

training solutions but also plays a key role in securing South Africa’s future by “Bridging the

Gap: Critical skills for a digital world”.
